매해 3월이면 FCSN에서 VOC 컨퍼런스가 열립니다. FCSN 기관의 가장 연중행사이기도 하고, 전 미국에서 열리는 장애인 위한 컨퍼런스 중에 가장 큰 규모 중 하나인걸로 알고 있습니다. 그만큼 얻을 수 있는 information, resource, interaction의 기회가 많다는 뜻이기도 합니다. 장애가 있는 자녀 (혹은 학생을) 돌보고 있거나 장애와 advocacy에 관심 있다면 이번 컨퍼런스에 참여하셔서 필요한 정보를 얻어가시기 바랍니다.

장애를 경험하고 있는 다른 가정들과 연결될 기회를 찾고 계시다면 미리 신청하셔서 원하는 학부모 그룹에 참여하셔서 용기를 나누고 정보를 교환할 수 있는 기회를 얻기 바랍니다. 천 여명의 사람들이 참여하는 이 resource가 풍부한 컨퍼런스에 한인분들도 많이 참여하셔서 자녀돌봄에 있어서 새로운 힘을 얻어가시길 진심으로 기원합니다.

How to Join?

신청은 이 곳에서 할 수 있고, 신청비는 25불 입니다. 50여개의 워크샵들이 준비되어 있습니다. 3월 8일 토요일에 원하는 시간에 원하는 워크샵들을 선택하여 참여할 수 있고, 그 이후 "3개월 동안" 모든 워크샵들을 다시 보실 수 있습니다. 신청비 보조 (discount code)가 필요하시면 곧바로 저에게 이메일 주세요 (schoi@fcsn.org)!

New IEP, Executive Function for ADHD Success, Strengthening Parent-Child Relationships, PK-3rd Sense of Belonging, Engagement and Authentic Learning, Intersection of Race, Culture and Special Education, All About Me (one-page info sheet) for teachers and staff, ABCs of Parental Advocacy, Key SPED Law Updates, transitioning after age 22, English learners with disabilities, fundamentals of mental health, helping tweens and teens, digital tools, crisis planning: readucing the use of emergency services, transition planning for chronic mental health challenges, etc.
